My friend was in 300!

I was just browsing through some pictures from the movie 300 when I came across this one with a familiar face:

If you click on the pic, it's a little bigger so you might be able to see a little better who it is. I guess I should've paid a little more attention during the movie.

Project 365

I guess it's time for my quarterly update.  This will be a quick one actually.  I'll be back with a real update later on.

If you've kicked it with me in the last few months, you've probably noticed that I carry my camera everywhere I go and I am always taking pictures.  There's a good reason for that.  My New Year's resolution this year is to take at least one picture or have one picture taken of me every single day of 2007.  I got the idea from Photojojo.  I figured it would be a fun project that would help me remember everything that happened this year as well as improve my skills in photography.  I'm about 3 months into this now, and so far I've had to say it's definitely been worth it.  By taking these pictures and looking back on them, I definitely can remember a lot more of what I've done than I might have had I not taken any pictures.  Some days are just so mundane that it's hard to find a picture worth taking.  The pictures on those mundane days actually turn out to be some of the best ones sometimes, because I have to be more creative to come up with a picture for that day.

You can check out my ongoing picture project here:

Or if you want to see the pictures in order of most recent first:

I'm not always up to date on uploading the pics, but it's probably the best way to keep updated on my day to day life right now.

Off I go to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on Wedneday!

Whoa an update?

Well... it's been a while huh?  I haven't updated this page since the summer.  It looks like everyone's jumping off the Xanga bandwagon too.  My subscriber count is droppin' like it's hot.  I've been told that people actually check up on my page to see how I'm doing though, so it's time for a little update.

The last few months have been quite eventful.  There's been some good and some bad.  I really just want to thank my family and friends for being there for me while I was going through some rough times.  You guys are awesome!  I really do appreciate what you guys have done for me.  I couldn't have a better group of friends.

So on to the good stuff.  First of all, I've become a Seahawks season ticket holder.  About every other Sunday, I go to Qwest Field with a fun group of buddies to root on our Seahawks, high five random people around us, do section-wide choreographed cheers after every first down, and yell until we go deaf.  After going to the playoff games last year, I couldn't pass up on the opportunity to get season tickets this year.  It's been well worth it.

That's Lowell, Will and Dancy holding up "Feely Don't Miss" signs during the Giants game.

Okay, that was good, but here's some bigger news.  I finally bought my swanky condo in the downtown Seattle (Belltown to be exact).  It'll be a couple blocks from the Waterfront and new Olympic Sculpture Park and a couple blocks from Seattle Center.  When I step out onto my balcony, I'll have a view of the Space Needle.  I'm pretty excited.  The only negative is that it'll take a while to be completed, but the development is nice enough that I think it's worth the wait.  If you're in the market for a new place, check it out:  http://www.liveatgallery.com

So besides that, some other notable things I've done include reading a book for the first time in a year (Mitch Albom - For One More Day), getting even more wired with new toys such as the MacBook and the Samsung Blackjack smartphone, and doing a little travelling.  Of course, that's all in addition to my usual fun.

Now time for what you really come here for... the pictures!

For Halloween, I wanted to do a theme again like last year's Mafia crew.  I came up with Cowboys and Indians, where the guys would be cowboys and the girls would be Indian princesses.  I thought of it too late though... so I ended up going with a solo costume.  Guess what I am!

So a Fireman, a Chick Magnet, a Mafia chick, and a ghetto Oakland A's player walk into a bar...

The geisha girls doing their geisha thing.

If I were to name one catch phrase that we've beaten to death lately, it would be "BAAAAAAAAAAALLIN!"  Me and the guys "fly high" at Venom.

I took a couple of short trips during this time:

Near the end of the summer, we took a trip to Ocean Shores where we wrecked havoc on the town.  This is me, Huy, Jimmy, and Dancy as we make a pit stop at the sweltering hot beach.

About 2 weeks ago, I met up with Thaison and Phong in LA for a last minute weekend trip.  Here we are enjoying the 75 degree weather at the Santa Monica beach!

I met some cool people in LA.  Haha I just figured out that at first glance, it looks like in the middle, Jennifer is throwing up a peace sign with her arm bent at an awkward angle... but it's actually the combination of shoulder, arm, and hand from 3 different people all blended together.  Tricky!

I was seeing double... even though I was sober.  Haha here I am with the coolest twins in LA I know, Kim and Bicky.  By the way, the streets of LA are dangerous!  Look at that shady character in the background.

And what's an update these days without mentioning sneakers?  I hit up a bunch of the boutiques when I was down in LA, including Flight Club.  At Flight Club, there are two walls just like this of rare kicks.  That's baaaaaaaaallin!

Okay, that's it for now.  Happy holidays to everyone out there!

Picture time!

You know what I just realized?  I've been on Xanga for over 4 years now.  I started this page one summer while I was bored at my intern job.  I figured I'd keep up with it for maybe 4 weeks max.  Now it's been like 4 years.  Craziness!  It's definitely fun to look back at look at the entries from the past.  So much has changed.  One of these days, I'm going to fix the broken images for all my old entries...

Speaking of images, it's now time for my monthly picture update.  It's definitely been an interesting summer.  Can't say it's been my best summer ever, but I've had a lot of fun.  My camera has been kinda flaky since I killed it in the sands of South Beach, but I've managed to take a few pictures this summer (or at least jacked them from other people).  Here are some random pictures from this summer:

This picture is actually from a little before summer.  Me, Gennessey, JT and Huy decided to take a hike up Tiger Mountain.  Freakin Huy had to get to a dinner, so we basically ran up the mountain.  Kiiiiinda tiring.  Notice how I'm holding a Yan Yan.  We come prepared on our hiking trips.

.

This is me and a couple of my NWO partners in crime, Jimmy and Huy.  We got our wetsuits on, ready to go for a crazy white water rafting trip on the Skykomish River.

I'm on the far right, battling some rapids.

Chillin with some other rafters before we scout the big drop.

Our guide's the guy in the pink helmet.  With his blonde hair and moustache, he kinda looks like Hulk Hogan.  Someone on our raft asked him what the worst situation he's ever been in while rafting.  His reply?  "Death.  I don't really want to talk about it."  That was pretty much the end of that conversation.

Back in Seattle, we were just minding our own business, when we saw this tank roll by.

And then... what the Stormtroopers?!!!

And just when it couldn't get any weirder, Ronald McDonald came over towards us with that child molester look in his eye.  Kinda scaaary.

Oh wait nevermind... we were just at the Torchlight parade to check out Rockstar Jina doing her traditional Korean dance, Lil Drummer girl style.

Not too long ago, I took a trip down to Portland to visit my brother.  This is the only picture I have that isn't too R-rated to post from that trip.  This is me, the PA Phis and Nikki.  Don't ask me why I'm trying to lift up Nikki.  I have no clue.

We took it back playground style and played kickball at Steve's BBQ.  I'm like the Ichiro of Kickball.  Not much power, lots of speed.

This is the obligatory official party picture of this entry.  Kickin' it at War Room.

Good times.  Stay tuned for part 2 of Don's shoe collection from this Summer haha.

Where the hell is Matt?

You've probably already seen this video. I've watched it numerous times now, and I still never get tired of it. For those who haven't heard of Matt, he's a guy who stopped working and took his savings and travelled the world. He created a website, Where The Hell Is Matt?, to keep his friends and family updated on where he was. He started taking videos of himself dancing in random places around the world and it just spread from there. He eventually got sponsored by a gum company to do a second world tour. Here's the video from his 2006 travels:

The cool thing is the guy lives in Seattle, so the last shot is at the Fremont Troll. Haha it's pretty funny how it looks like he's gettin hyphy when he's in SF. My favorite one is when he's dancing with the kids in Rwanda though.

Here's the original video he made on his original world tour before he got sponsored:

Watching these videos makes me really, really, REALLY want to travel more.
